These Terms apply when you use the Active Hearts Foundation website or make a donation through it. By using the website or making a donation, you agree to these Terms.
About us
Active Hearts Foundation supports charitable education, health, community-development and emergency-relief projects, primarily in Nepal.
Donations and payment providers
Donations may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal.
When using one of these services, you may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that the donation amount, currency, payment method, contact information and project designation are correct before completing payment.
If you select a project, we will make reasonable efforts to apply your donation to that project. If the project becomes fully funded, completed, delayed or no longer reasonably possible, we may apply the donation to a closely related charitable project or an area of greatest need.
Receipts and tax deductibility
A payment receipt will normally be sent to the email address associated with your Stripe or PayPal transaction.
Tax deductibility depends on the country in which you live, the donation option selected and your personal circumstances. A Stripe or PayPal payment receipt does not by itself guarantee entitlement to a tax credit or deduction.
Please obtain independent tax advice if necessary.
Refunds
Donations are generally final. If you donated by mistake, entered an incorrect amount or believe a payment was unauthorised, contact us promptly at namaste@activeheartsfoundation.org.
Refund requests will be considered individually, subject to applicable law, the circumstances, the relevant payment provider’s rules and whether the donated funds have already been committed or transferred to a project.
